It’s been a busy news week over here on the Windows Live Hotmail team. We’re proud to have the PC Magazine Editor’s Choice Award!

PC Magazine’s Davis Janowski  says, “I’ll zoom in on my favorite free offering, Windows Live Mail (beta). Of all the no-cost Web products in this guide, it manages the closest approximation of Outlook. In addition, from within the browser e-mail interface, you can (or will soon be able to) reach all the parts of the Live ecosystem, such as Live.com, Live Search, and Live Spaces, among many others. These qualities earn Windows Live Mail the right to share an Editors’ Choice.” Read the article.

We couldn’t have done this without the help of beta testers like you who have sent us tons of feedback. Please continue using the “Send us feedback” link on the Today page to let us know how we can continue to make sure your Windows Live Hotmail experience is award-worthy. We can’t take all of your suggestions right away, but we do consider each suggestion and add it to our wish list for future releases.

The rest of the team is working hard on the M10 release. (Sorry, no hints yet about when it’ll be out.) Happy Valentine’s Day from the Windows Live Hotmail team!

Ellie Powers, program manager

P.S. Yes, that’s me, the program manager in the green shirt who’s showing up in your inbox lately. It’s a campaign to get more users involved with our blog and the real people who build Windows Live Hotmail.
